CAIR to Join Other Rights Groups, Members of Congress at Rally Against Muslim Ban Tonight in Front of U.S. Supreme Court

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 12/7/15) -- Tonight, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will join other civil rights organizations and members of Congress at a rally and press conference against President Trump’s “Muslim Ban” in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. #NoMuslimBanEver

Earlier this week, CAIR expressed deep concern over the court’s decision to allow President Trump’s latest Muslim Ban policy to be implemented until the court makes a final decision about the executive action's constitutionality.

Rally organizers include: Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR); CWS; Iranian Alliances Across Borders (IAAB); Justice for Muslims Collective; MoveOn.org; South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT): Win Without War.

CAIR is warning citizens of the targeted countries who are present in the United States as lawful permanent residents, students, workers, or tourists to consult with an immigration attorney before traveling overseas. 

CAIR also encourages anyone who thinks they may be impacted by the latest Muslim Ban to contact the civil rights organization or an immigration attorney. 

The Washington-based civil rights and advocacy organization urges community members to report any bias incidents to police and to CAIR's Civil Rights Department at 202-742-6420 or by filing a report at: http://www.cair.com/report     

CAIR recently launched an app to share critical “know your rights” information and to simplify the process to report hate crimes and bias incidents. CAIR is urging American Muslims and members of other minority groups to download the app and utilize this resource to stay informed and empowered.
